Colored Maggie May's Monster

Taking a step towards trying to get the Codfish Tea comic going by experimenting. I finally found out how to separate the lineart from my scans so I was able to color underneith it. I think I may try toning the colors down a tad but other than that I think it's a good step.

Tentacles are better with Tophats

Since I'm going to the Ink & Drink event at the Atlanta Printmaker Studio I drew this guy up really quick. Originally he was stuck in a flower pot and had Maggie May the hedgehog with him. But here is the blog's mascot, the Sophisticated Tentacle himself!

Maggie May

Was waiting for our teacher to get to doing critique so I ended up drawing this. She may end up being for my next Printmaking project.

Self Identity Animal Motifs

Hey! Sorry about the no update yesterday, I came home late and the computer that has the scanner hooked up to it doesn't like to do anything within the first 20min-to an hour of starting up so I gave up trying and went to bed.

These are some of the sketches I'm doing for my self identity project for my Graphic Design class. I'm still looking around for what other two animals I can use, and so far I'm liking the squid. I already have a bunny made, so I just need one more that I like made up.

Thrump

Somehow came up with the idea of this guy. Happy talked about for awhile making a comic called Badass Man Yaoi. I love the idea plus whenever I think of that I think of a particular strip on Oglaf (I suggest you be 18+ when you click that link it's got man twinkies) that would suit this project nicely.

Thrump likes to protect his manly bits with the furry objects of equally manly animal skins!

The Solstice Sisters

Haha no I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, I just been a slacker....very big one. But I shall try to be no more! In my spurt of sudden wanting to get things done!

At the moment I'm planing on trying to get a comic going, course it will take awhile. Even though I do have big prints that I post on my deviantart page, here is where I'm gonna post up the idea sketches.

Here is The Solstice Sisters, which I got inspiration from particular singers (cookies to those who can guess who they are). I haven't given names to them yet so they shall be nameless for now.

Roo Loves Codfish Tea

Roo loves Codfish tea so much that she even makes her own Grandson look like one and steals her own mini clone!

It's name is Mr. Crumpet.

Hairy Demon Dog

Gasp! What's this? Color!?!?!

He popped up outta no where and I thought he'd be good to do a quick easy coloring and I just wanted to try something different of how I did it too.

Relaxing Tea

This is an Old sketch, but I thought I'd put it up since I doubt it has been really shown. Lookit at the little ghost kitty and goat!

Sleepy kitties! Yeah...exciting eh? ;p

Demon Horse

Suddenly just drew a nose it and formed into an angry looking Demon Horse. One day I'd like to draw the rest of his body for him.

Tilt Beggy Face and Tummy Latch

Tilt sure loves to pout alot, and latch onto Pudge Mama's tummy too.

Sivvi and Zeta riding on the back of Browny who is a wolf with tentacles. It's from one of the scenes of a roleplay me and my friend Mary do.

Taken Chair

I find myself in the same situation as the little Aubran in this picture. There's always a need to sit in the head of the houses' spot because it's the most comfortable chair, but of course you gotta evacuate it when the owner comes around to claim it back.

Fear Pizza and Goat Witch

Heheh sorry about yesterday, after I came home from volunteering I was just too tired to get a sketch out. So here is two for today! First one is a Goat Witch and the second a demon king named fear from my friend Mary's new comic Nymphetamine Dream who's eating pizza. Why pizza? I have no idea, ask him.

July Print Exchange

I have an exchange that's due in July, so I thought I might share with you the sketch I'm doing for it. This one is another continuation of my Order of the Codfish project, with the Frog Priest holding a cup of tea. I may have to go back and fix those hands and head.

Thinking I might do a variation of this one for the actual comic chapter cover.

Maple Universe

Once again I ask for my friend Mary's help in figuring out what to sketch, and one of the ideas she spouted was Moose. While I was drawing him he seemed rather happy and go lucky, so he's now soaring through a Universe of Maple syrup and pancakes.

I've always related Mooses to Maine than to Canada (sorry Claw! ;p). I guess it's cause I've visited Maine so much, though...that is close to Canada, hehehe. Though yes, I've always associated them with Maple Syrup and Pinecones.

I have a urge to make a finalized version of this one, so if I do I will make sure I post it up here for you guys to see.

Pondering on this sketch I've come across the same problem I always do, I don't know what kind of medium to put it in. Most ideas that I really would love to play around with always flits around so many. I guess part of being a good artist is figuring out what would suit it best and stick to it. Though then again exploring all the options by doing it is a good thing too since it gives you a better visual and can pick out the best from it. *ponders*

I'm back! With more Yarn!

Heheh Alright I'm back! It was a good trip, this time it wasn't raining like last time I went so it was all good! Okay here we go onto the sketches!


Mr. Smoker Fish, we were sitting at a restuarant called The Cove listening to one of the live bands playing there while I was drawing him. The whole page is a big spew of things.



Bwahaha and I got more yarn while I was there too! Wanna see? Huh?
Not sure if the picture does the colors justice but I love them!


And um...random! I always try to figure out what the Octowolf would look like alittle anthroized but...um still needs work.

At the Witte Muesuem they had a neat display of dresses from the Order of the Alamo coronations. They were really gorgeous so of course I had to take some ref pictures.

My favorite was the one that had a rabbit on the train. =D

Peek?

Something silly that popped up after drawing the tentacles yesterday. Mischievous Browny taking a peek up Jacy's skirt. (Normally he wouldn't do this....maybe?) Going to have to learn how to fool around with the settings on the scanner since it didn't turn out as green as it should. It was my first time using this sakura pen and I'm glad I did it on a doodle first. It likes to show the pencil lines that's under it.

Tentacles Like Muffins

Tentacles and Muffins! Just cause yesterday's post and my friend Happy's suggestion that I should draw some today. They must be trying to feed the baby tentacle in the cup. *nod*

Alas I shall be gone for a couple of days, bu I shall try to get in tomorrows post before I leave. Maybe I'll show you pictures when I get back ;p. This will mean that during the days I won't be here I shall post up those sketches all on the day that I come back.

Robots- Dancy and Rocket Toast

Poor little toaster robot, he just want to boogey too.

Oh yeah, before I forget I want to share a comic strip that I felt fitted my love right now. Anyone who's seen my artwork either on deviantart or in my sketchbook will know that I.Love.Tentacles. They're just so fun to draw with all the swirl and curls they make! So of course some friends tease me about this and joke that I'm into tentacle porn. (Maybe if they come out with a tastefully done one *cough*) Anyway! Here's a sample of the comic since I don't think I'm allowed to post up the whole thing. Lovellett and Baby Everette

Yeah that's totally a baby she's got in her arms there. ;p Looks to me like a little demon thingy now that I take a good look at it. Heh. Probably should work on that more of drawing cute chubby babies so they don't look so odd.

Kattalakis in a Basket

First sketch! This one is of Kattalakis Wolf, orginally a Gaia Character that my friend Happy let me put into her Jackson Blue story. She may need a name change since her first name was from a book I read. >< Have to see! She's abit more realistic than I usually draw her.
